Professor Officer was Chairman of Victorian Funds Management Corporation from 2002 to 2006. He was Chairman of JF Capital Partners and Acorn Capital, Deputy Chairman of Tactical Global Management Limited and Chair of Pentacle Property Funds Management Limited. He has been on the boards of listed companies: the Bank of Melbourne, Over Fifty's Ltd and Transurban Ltd. He is currently a Director of CP2 Ltd, an infrastructure specialist, Chair of Acorn Capital Pty Ltd, a microcap specialist manager, and on the investment committees of the Melbourne Business School, Latrobe University and Surf life Saving Australia. He is also a director of the Colonial Foundation, a philanthropic trust. He is Professor Emeritus of the University of Melbourne, and was previously Deputy Director of the Melbourne Business School. He was awarded an AM in the 2012 Queens Birthday Honours list.
Prior to joining JCP, Penny worked as Director, Institutional Equities with Merrill Lynch Australia as well as roles in Merrill Lynch Hong Kong and AWB Melbourne. Penny has completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from The University of Melbourne
Shane has worked in institutional funds management for over 20 years. He began his funds management career in 1989 with BHP Superannuation as an Analyst. Prior to this, he worked as a Graduate Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in their Audit Division. In 1994, Shane moved to ANZ Funds Management to manage their Small Companies and Special Situations Fund. From December 1995 to December 1998, this portfolio outperformed the ASX Small Companies Accumulation Index by 18% pa and the nearest competitor in the Mercer Small Companies Performance Survey by 9%pa. In November 1997, Shane also took over a large part of ANZ Funds Management’s Industrial Share Portfolios and was a major contributor to its strong outperformance.
Previously, Richard was a Director of ABN AMRO (and BZW) for over 10 years. He was a Director of the Australian Rail Track Corporation and a Trustee Director of the Commonwealth Public Service Superannuation Schemes (CSS/PSS) between 1998 and 2004. Richard is a Trustee/Director of several charitable organisations including the Baker Foundation, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute and the SecondBite Future Trust
